Birmingham Bullets Basketball Academy To Re-Open

One of the most feared names in British basketball has re-emerged from the ashes. In the 90's, the name of the Birmingham Bullets meant playing against some of the most talented athletes in the UK. We are now proud to announce that the Birmingham Bullets Basketball Academy has reopened and offers one of the most intense and comprehensive basketball programs in the UK. Unlike other less traditional programs, this nine month program places the emphasis on becoming a more skilled basketball player, training to become a better athlete, and increase options for college scholarship offers or professional opportunities.

Players within this program will compete in a Senior National League either in the UK or with a professional side in Europe at weekends, with a view to showcasing their skills to the US/European market.

The program is full-time and runs from August to May and is open to players aged 18 to 22 years old. Students looking for US Scholarship will attend an accredited academic institution and train in the morning and evening sessions. Full time players will train throughout the day. Our goal is simple: to develop the best basketball players in the world, at all levels.

For anyone interested in attending the Academy, the dates we are training at Northwood Stadium, Stoke-on-Trent are on our Academy Page

Bullets Move To Stoke-on-Trent

The Birmingham Bullets are relocating to Fenton Manor Sports Complex, Stoke-on-Trent for the forseeable future. The move has been caused by the Birmingham A's complaining to England Basketball about the team playing in Birmingham.

"EB have been very understanding and asked us to find another venue to play home games. All the venues in Birmingham with 250 people capacity are taken so we've come to a 2000 seater arena that wants basketball played here, rather than get involved in the petty politics of Birmingham basketball" said Bullets Head Coach Des Williams.

The next home game is Feb 21st at Fenton Manor, tip off at 2pm
